How does PHA ensure we fulfil our obligations?
PHA employs a CORGI registered contractor to conduct the annual gas safety checks. Once the service becomes due, the contractor will contact you to arrange for an engineer to call. If they are unable to gain access, a calling card will be left and you should contact them to reschedule the visit.
If you still do not arrange access, PHA will send their own letter to remind you. The Association takes seriously its responsibility to carry out this essential work and failure to provide the gas engineer with access to your home is a breach of your tenancy agreement.
If necessary, we will reluctantly take action through the courts, which could (and occasionally does) result in a tenant being evicted if access continues to be denied.
