Now available for download is our annual report for 2007. As the report says, we can look back at a very busy year which saw PHA join Devon & Cornwall Housing group and take on responsibility for managing a further 2,000 homes across Cornwall belonging to Devon & Cornwall Housing Association (DCHA).
Our new relationship means PHA now manages nearly 6,000 homes, with more coming into management each month as we endeavour to meet local needs. We are also pleased to welcome Tor Homes into the Devon & Cornwall Housing group as a sister organisation to PHA and DCHA, and this expanded partnership is already making real differences to efficiency and customer services across the group.
Our multi-million pound Decent Homes programme has seen a record number of bathrooms, kitchens and heating systems replaced in our existing homes which have improved residents’ quality of life. The expenditure this year alone was £5.5 million.
During the year we welcomed three new board members, Frank Bowater, Tony Sheridan and Angela Stevens, and said goodbye to David Eddy, one of our founder members and Fiona Murison.
We also welcomed Paul Duffy as our new Head of Housing, who is responsible for overseeing housing and customer services staff across our offices in Penwith; Truro and Liskeard.
PHA is playing an ever increasing role in housing across Cornwall and we are now in a good position to work with our customers and partners to help meet housing need.
