It will be the largest affordable housing scheme built in St Ives for more than 30 years and will make a significant contribution to meeting housing need for families in the St Ives area.

The development will comprise of 54 two, three and four bedroom houses and bungalows. They will be either for rent or for Homebuy (shared Ownership) sale and aimed at local people. Those with a connection to St Ives, Towednack or Zennor parishes will be nominated by Cornwall Council.

The scheme is being part funded with grant aid by the governments Homes and Communities Agency and Cornwall Council with the total scheme costs are estimated to be around £6 million.

The new homes have been designed by Trewin Design partnership with technical support provided by Quantity Surveyors Taylor Lewis and Engineers MBA. They will be built by Rok construction. The homes are due to be completed by February 2011.
