We had eight candidates for seven seats representing the North neighbourhood of our Tenants’ Committee (PTC)
“This committee is the tenant representative body of PHA and its total membership comprises over 30 active residents from four constituency groups and recognised residents associations,” commented Chief Executive Andy Moore, the election Returning Officer.
Over 21% of residents voted and the successful candidates were Frank Bowater – 191 votes (St Ives), Winnie Chappell – 206 votes (St Erth), Ken Eaton – 178 votes (St Ives), Norman Emberson – 176 votes (Hayle), Rose Perkin – 186 votes (Carbis Bay), Tracey Retter – 175 votes (Hayle), Ted Taylor – 210 votes (St Erth).
Resident Involvement Officer, Madie Parkinson-Evans says that “Our tenant committee members work hard as volunteers to ensure that we deliver high quality services to our tenants. Many of the PTC members are actively involved in a wide range of community activities helping to strengthen the bonds between the people who live locally.”
The current chair of Penwith Tenants’ Committee is Carol Bosworth, who will welcome the newly elected members at the annual meeting in July.
