Davy House awarded high recognition

Delight for staff and residents of Davy House on receiving high recognition from Supporting People

Davy House MumsYoung mums and children at Davy House, Penzance joined in the congratulations for the recent award the scheme has received from Cornwall Council’s Supporting People Team in recognition of the high quality of service provided there.

The certificate for the award of Level B in the Quality Assessment Framework was presented to Scheme Manager, Louise Phillips, by Caroline White, a Board member of Penwith Housing Association.

Caroline expressed her delight at the extra accreditation in the Supporting People scheme organised by Cornwall Council.

“Davy House was awarded Level B in the Quality Assessment Framework following an accreditation visit by the Supporting People Team to the scheme” said Louise

The residents are proud of the high standards at Davy House in Treneere which provides support for eight homeless young mothers and their children.

Andy Moore, Chief Executive of PHA, expressed pride at their achievement. “PHA are very proud of the achievements of our residents and staff at Davy House which has now been formally recognised by Cornwall’s Supporting People Team. It is particularly important to provide a high quality service to help people who have faced severe housing difficulties and at Davy House the residents have made a major contribution to our success.”
