A Crealy great day for PHA residents
A free and fun day was had by all on Saturday 24 September when around 100 residents and their families from all over Cornwall arrived at Cornwall’s Crealy Great Adventure Park. The aim of the day, hosted by Penwith Housing Association (PHA), part of Devon & Cornwall Housing group, was to help PHA learn more about the opinions and priorities of residents and encourage them to become involved.
Paul Duffy, Head of Housing welcomed the residents, he said: “This event is a celebration of the partnership between PHA and residents and a thank you for the fantastic achievements of residents in their neighbourhoods and communities.” The day proceeded with a quiz session in the morning to help residents get to know their landlord.
Leanda Flower, PHA’s Customer Engagement Manager said: “It is pleasing to see the level of interest and enthusiasm from residents here today to join the ever-increasing group of residents who really are champions for change. They have the potential power and influence to make things happen.”

In the afternoon residents were free to go into the park for lunch and to enjoy themselves with their families. One resident said: “Everything was great. Best day we’ve had for a very long time, loved everything.” Another added: “It was a good chance to take the kids somewhere new that we wouldn’t normally be able to get to because of the cost of travel.”
