What choices will I have?
Penwith Housing Association has a strong commitment to providing a choice of services to its our customers. This means that where work has to be done you will be consulted in detail.
This consultation will include
- when and how work is done
- proposals for your bathroom or the layout of your kitchen
- the choice of finishes available for any kitchens to be renewed, e.g kitchen units, worktops, flooring and wall tiling
- the choice of finishes available for bathrooms suites
At the Penwith Tenants Committee Conference, which was held on 22 January 2005, a range of kitchen finishes were displayed for consideration by customers. Customers were consulted and asked to select the colour shades and finishes they preferred, from a wide range of alternatives.
We have used the results of this exercise to come up with a selection of finishes to offer all customers whose homes are being scheduled for whole kitchen renewals under the Decent Homes Programme.
This selection has been finalised with the Technical Partnerships Group, a sub-group of Penwith Housing Association’s Tenants Committee.
Included is a selection of:
- 4 laminate colour shades for kitchen cupboard door and drawers
- 4 laminate colour shades for kitchen worktops
- 4 colour shades for non-slip vinyl safety flooring
- 4 kitchen cupboard door and drawer handles
- 4 colour shades for wall tiling upstands
- 4 colour shades for emulsion painted kitchen wall surfaces
