The programme is a five year partnering contract to be carried out by Mears Ltd for the external redecoration of all the Association's homes. The work includes:
- redecoration of external wood and metal surfaces including gutter cleaning and oiling window hinges.
- undecorated metal and plastic surfaces will be cleaned.
- essential repairs to surfaces to be decorated or cleaned will be carried out.
- external walls will be power washed or redecorated as scheduled on the property list.
- internal redecoration of communal areas to flats is also included.
Properties will be redecorated every five years but external wall painting is on a ten year cycle with power washing at intermediate five year stages.
The painting years listed in the schedule run from April to March. For example 2005/06 means that your dwelling may be decorated between April 2005 and March 2006.
The programme may be revised by PHA from time to time and we will republish the property list if necessary. In particular, some properties listed in the 2004/05 cycle may be delayed by a few months, which will move them into the 2005/06 year of the cycle.
